- We offer several categories of support to address critical needs within qualifying rural Texas healthcare providers. Eligible facilities can apply for:
Discounted Consulting Services-Reduced-cost access to specialized consulting services in clinical compliance, quality improvement, staff training, operational efficiency, and facility go-live support. Patient Program Funding-Direct financial support for specific patient-centric programs designed to enhance health outcomes, improve access to care, or address local social determinants of health.
Capital Project Funding-Financial assistance for physical facility improvements that enhance patient care environments or expand service capacity. Equipment Acquisition & Upgrades-Funding support to purchase or upgrade essential medical equipment necessary for delivering high-quality care. - Target Audience
- Under-resourced rural hospitals, critical access hospitals (CAHs), community healthcare facilities, rural health clinics (RHCs), and federally qualified health centers (FQHCs) operating within rural and medically underserved communities across Texas, as well as the patient populations they serve.
- Geographic Focus
- State of Texas (Statewide), with exclusive focus on rural counties, medically underserved areas (MUAs), and health professional shortage areas (HPSAs) within the state.

- Funding priorities
- Expanding rural healthcare capacity and infrastructure across Texas by funding four critical pillars of support for rural medical facilities:
Subsidized Technical Assistance-Funding specialized consulting services in compliance, quality improvement, staff training, operational efficiency, and facility go-live support.
Patient Program Delivery-Financial support for patient-centric programs designed to enhance health outcomes, improve access to care, and address social determinants of health.
Capital Infrastructure- Financial assistance for facility improvements that directly enhance patient care environments and expand service capacity.
Equipment Modernization- Funding for the acquisition or upgrade of essential medical equipment necessary for delivering high-quality, accessible care.
